Free for all weekend

Starting now and through midnight in your timezone on Sunday - you can promote any community you like - once! Make a new post, comment on this one, join - whatever makes you happy.
It's been quiet here and I'd love to see that change, so please, post away. Remember, you don't have to be a mod to post about a community.

Pimp and tags
Sep. 3rd, 2010 09:43 am![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
With the influx of new folks I think it's time for another pimping week! Please post here in comments with your favorite communities (you don't need to be a mod to talk about them). Tell us about the communities you love - or want to love and wish were more active.
Also - please, please, please - use the tags when you make a new post to this community. It is the easiest way for someone to find your post later. Not unlike putting an ad on craigslist and forgetting the photos, you'll get a lot more interest if you use the tag function.
And for everyone in North America - happy long weekend!

Promotion! (and mod post)

So, just like the name says -
dw_community_promo is about promoting your shiny new (or not so new but wants more shiny) community.
Not about debating the purpose of said [promoted] community.
Mentioning another community that might be similar or duplicative? Awesome.
Arguing with the person doing promotion about purpose of said [promoted] community? Not awesome.
Arguing the person and not the issue? Really not awesome, especially here.
Flamewars will not be tolerated.
