This is a daily photo community devoted to shoes. Members are encouraged to post pictures and to participate in the themed challenges; discussion posts are also welcome as long as they are on topic. Obviously the topic is shoes - all kinds of shoes – all brands, shapes, and sizes are welcome. If you like Doc Martens, Jimmy-Choos, or fetish ballet heels in leather, latex, or lacquer, it is all appropriate here!

We have just resumed a challenge, the theme of which is colour. This week is red so you can expect a lot of photos of lovely red shoes being posted. Come, take a look, and even participate if you have recently seen a pair in red that you simply can't resist.

shutterspeed is a photo prompt community that welcomes photographers at all levels of ability or interest. Prompts are intended to encourage us to think creativity and to use our cameras more often. There is no minimum number of pictures required to participate--it's fine for photographers to drop in when they're willing and able.

The community usually has two simultaneously running prompts ("apertures"); the most recent ones are "signs" and "warm and cold," which close on Monday, so there's a brainstorming post for anyone interested to suggest new apertures.

pixelhunters is a comm I've just made for all things relating to free-to-use graphics--collecting resources, highlighting/showcasing interesting images that are in the public domain or under creative commons (or similar licenses), helping people locate remixable content, and showing off artwork that makes use of such sources.

Graphics with remix-friendly licenses are a great resource for many people! I hope this comm can be useful to icon makers, fanart creators, graphic designers, collage-makers, 3D modelers, photoshop/gimp gurus, folks who want to sprinkle illustrations into their posts, DW theme designers, software developers in need of UI icons, comic artists... and so on :)

So, I seem to have inherited a community...who knew? Anywho -- I've revised the rules, purpose, etc., and am ready for people to come play!

whatiworetoday is a community for people who are interested in fashion and clothing, and who want to share photos of what they wear. WE WANT TO BE INSPIRED.
