severalplums is an icon challenge community with a little bit of a difference—each week, the winning icon-maker makes a tutorial for that winning icon. Subjects vary every week, we've had birds, landscapes, celebrities, flowers, screencaps, cake, fashion and so on, with the idea that we all tackle things we may never have tried before. And of course there is the opportunity to learn something from every winner, so if you're looking to improve your icon-making skills this could be the comm for you.
After a brief hiatus over the summer severalplums is ready to start up a new challenge this weekend, so come on over, have a look, and take the plunge.

For those unfamiliar with the term, think of 'haikai' as an extended form of 'haiku': alternating stanzas of 5-7-5 and 7-7 syllable lines. (Historically, haiku evolved from the starting verse of haikai.)
The fun begins when one person posts a stanza(s), and another starts a comment thread with a new stanza. Thus, the more the merrier!
