dreamwidth_meta -- For critical discussion and analysis about Dreamwidth as a project and a service; the post up there right now is an example. poetry -- This is for posting poetry that isn't your own. memewidth -- I intend this to be a resource for people who want to make or use memes based on Dreamwidth. An example would be relationship graphs.
I also feel like thatswhatshesaid could use more people and posters even though I am not in it.
For all your LOTR RPF needs (fic and art, slash, het and gen), lotrip_all_fic. As long as it features at least one of the people involved with the making of the LOTR trilogy of films, it's welcome here.
neopian_adults for all of us older players on neopets. It's a place to ask questions, give tips, cheer on trophies, avatars and lab zaps. :) We will soon have our own dailies list
west_wing_fans The show might be over but there are many fnas world wide still watching. Come and share your thoughts, your fanfics and icons and talk about how real life is mirroring the show.
cats_musical Welcome to the Jellicle Ball. Come and share all things CATS.
final_fantasy_archive is for all FF series games, manga, anime, and movies, and for discussions, fanworks of all kinds (fic, icons, art, fanmixes, etc.)
The community is listed as adult concepts, because, well, we all know what 80% of fannish participation ends up being, right? :)
marvel_fanworks for all your Marvel-inspired creations. Fanfiction, fanart, icons - whatever creative stuff you're into, show us what you got.
Fans of other US publishers (DC, Dark Horse, Image, whatever), feel free to stop by and use it as a gathering place to organize your comics-based needs. As long as people get along, I won't be policing the community for subject matter until I get organized to set up a layout, and Dreamwidth is open for business.
dallas_fortworth: For all your Dallas/Fort Worth/surrounding area needs. First order of business is putting together an Open Beta party (all the cool localities are doing it), followed by information about conventions and readings and concerts and, y'know, stuff (hurray!).
I deal with fibromyalgia and I have long wanted to create a supplemental community different to the ones I've encountered. Fibromyalgia is a chronic pain disorder and not a ton is understood about it, even by medical professionals, so sometimes it's hard for the newly diagnosed or even people who've dealt with it for years to find tips for living a full, healthy life and for finding information on effective traditional treatments or complementary/alternative medicine. To that end, I've created fibro_life, a community to talk about the ways in which we manage to live full and fulfilling lives despite the pain.
There's merit to having places to go that we can say "I hurt" and know beyond a shadow of a doubt that people "get it." But there's something to be said for setting that aside and focusing on what to do to overcome or at least live well despite the pain. Fibro is, by definition, hurting. But the question this community hopes to address is, "Yes, we hurt -- but now what?"
So if you have been diagnosed with fibro or a similar chronic pain or fatigue syndrome or know and love someone who has, please feel free to join in and share knowledge and ask questions!
Welcome to Dreamwidth's Community Promotions Community (we occasionally visit the redundant department of redundancy). We hope that you are enjoying your stay here at Dreamwidth Airlines. Don't forget to buckle your cross-posting applications and keep your pixels inside the browser at all times.
Oh, and don't forget to use tags when you are promoting your communities. It makes it much easier for people to find you in the tag list.
