japanboys , Dreamwidth's very first Ikemen-based community! We are a friendly, open community which features updates for all your favorite male Japanese celebrities. This includes translations, scans, fanwork, and just about anything you can think of! All members can share their own updates on the community, and we encourage everyone to post updates to the community if they have something they want contribute or share! Heavenly Voices
Nov. 26th, 2010 03:37 pmthejeopardymaze After coming home from Thanksgiving I listened to a (out of print?) Cleopatra compilation Heavenly Voices for the first time in years, and that inspired me to create another community, this one being centered around that type of theme of said compilation, ethereal gothic music with heavenly voices. However, it doesn't always have to be gothic and/or female. World, downtempo, trip-hop, new age, choral, early music, Opera, and similar genres are also just as welcome.
Feel free to use it to promote bands, labels, independent music shops (online and off), podcasts, etc. I'll edit more of the profile details later.

It allows writers, artists, musicians, crafters, and other creative folks to sell their goods and services directly to audiences online. It allows ordinary, individual people to support performers and artisans they admire, which encourages them to produce more of what their audience members enjoy. It cuts out the middleman, putting more money in the hands of hard-working creators and more control in the hands of enthusiastic consumers. CFC is most often done through blogs and personal websites, and there are many variations on how people do it. Webcomics, fictional blogs, icon days, one-card draws, and fishbowls are just some of the examples you explore.
Creators may use this community as a place to announce crowdfunded creativity projects and attract new audience members. For donors and other consumers, it's a place to look for CFC projects that might interest you and to talk about what you like. If you provide goods or services of interest to crowdfunders (such as editing, illustration, layout, web design, etc.) then you can post about that and maybe find new clients.

This community was made to keep with the awesome tradition that has been held throughout fandoms and servers, to have a place where someone can ask for a fic anonymously and then, because anonymous delivers, some kind soul will write it.

So yes, this awesome project! What is it? It'ssauce. That's right, sauce. But not just any sauce. It's Awesome Sauce, a community for all things that rock our world. This can be anything from finding the likeness of Jesus in your plate of spaghetti, trending memes, pretty flowers, funny marquees, spectacular graffiti, the bizarre and slightly disturbing (but still strangely awesome for its own sake), crazy fashion, awesome art... seriously? The list doesn't end. Put it simply:
If it rocks your world DOUBLE COMPLETELY, frickin' post it. We crave awesome just as much as you crave to share it. That's what we want. That's what we're here for.
