It seems the only thing in our mailboxes these days are bills or advertisements. We've opened a new community to inspire each other to share the joy of writing and receiving snail mail, called got_snail_mail. It's a community to encourage and inspire writing letters, cards or post cards. Show us your favorite pen or stationary, show us your desk. Talk about how it feels to put a pen to actual paper or the cool card that cheered up your mail box.

While we don't allow individual posts seeking pen pals, we make regular mod posts for people to comment on if they would like a pen pal. My co-mod, ariestess has just made our November Admin post for pen pals, check it out.

We also put up a monthly topic to help you figure out what to write in case you get stuck and don't know what to say, or feel like you've said it all to your friends or family.
