Lost In Translation

I'm happy to see that my last call did get lostintranslation some members already. Now we need posts, too. I didn't get round to writing a first entry yet, but hey, you're all welcome to beat me to it ;)

lostintranslation is a place for producers and consumers of translations alike. Discuss the limits of translation, creative ways translators have found to bypass them (and what was lost anyway) or share awkward mistranslations that could have been avoided.

Ask for help with your particularly mean untranslatables to trigger a brainstorm, praise the great work someone has done translating a play on words, or rant about how they dubbed the latest episode of The Simpsons into German.



Oh, and before this becomes an issue: starting next week i'll include both my communities in one post. ;)
