I have just created a community for original fiction. It's calledoriginal_fiction  and it's just for original work, no fanfiction is allowed. There will be weekly prompts to help people with writing if they have no ideas, but it's mostly a place for you to post whatever writing you have, be it a short story, a novel, or poetry. Everything will be tagged by genre and the author's username. :) You can ask for critique or help with your plot or anything really.

There is already originalfiction. :( I made it right when DW opened, and people generally just never posted much in it. It's not active, but it does still exist.

Why make a new community when people can just post in the original one, though? That's how you keep communities active, imho – I would have commented even if I hadn't been the one to make the comm (it's not the kind of thing that really needs moderating).

So in this particular instance I noticed more closely because I saw the name and thought "isn't that a comm I already made?" but I don't see why we need a new one. The original OF has almost 200 members. Why not just post there and drum up its activity? It's inactive because people are inactive, not because we need a new one.

It's obviously entirely up to you, I just don't see the point of having two, and I'd be happy to add you as a maintainer.
