Interested in making historical clothing and accessories, particularly from before 1600? Like looking at other people's projects?

You should join [community profile] sca_attire!

It's been around for a while, but I'm really trying to get it off the ground now. To that end, there's a post asking what you want from the community and one asking about your favorite periods.

There will be regular discussion questions and resource posts on different topics, and you're always welcome to post your questions, tips, project diaries, or anything else related to historical clothing and accessories. Although the primary focus is "SCA period" (c. 500-1600ish CE), earlier and a bit later is fine, too, and you definitely don't need to be an SCA member or even a reenactor. And of course clothing from cultures outside of Europe is definitely welcome!

You might also be interested in [community profile] historicalembroidery, although there's nothing there just yet.
