What with the influx of new people and all, I thought it'd be appropriate to get a plug in for bicycles, which is...exactly what it says on the tin! We talk about bicycles and other human-powered wheeled and geared transport, with a tendency to slant toward commuting, utility, and touring. C'mon over and introduce yourself and your bikes.

With the influx of new folks I think it's time for another pimping week! Please post here in comments with your favorite communities (you don't need to be a mod to talk about them). Tell us about the communities you love - or want to love and wish were more active.

Also - please, please, please - use the tags when you make a new post to this community. It is the easiest way for someone to find your post later. Not unlike putting an ad on craigslist and forgetting the photos, you'll get a lot more interest if you use the tag function.

Sons of Anarchy

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person who believes that Sons of Anarchy is one of the best shows on TV right now.

So, in that vein, I created samcro, a community where you can post and discuss anything related to the show. Fanfic, fanart, meta, picspams, episode discussions - it's all welcome.

With the new season starting next week, it's the perfect time to head on over and talk about your hopes for Jax, Clay, Gemma and the others!

Creativty and RP communities

So, I hear there are a lot of new people on Dreamwidth these days! Welcome, one and all, both new and old. Since it's been a while, here's a few comms I have a hand in:

musing_way – All muses, both original and fannish, welcome to come look at our weekly prompts, join in, or talk to the ones milling around there already. I'd love to see more RP actually going on in the comm's threads, but it's also laid back with only one prompt per month required to be answered and a minimum of two words to qualify as a response. Don't want to claim a muse? That's fine; you can still interact on other muses' threads.

muse_prompts – Four times a month, sets of prompts get posted to be used in any way. No claiming necessary, but I'd love to have a link back to the post if you do create something. Fannish or original.

parthenon – My quiet child. It's a comm of themed tables for claiming. Original and fannish claims welcome, with no rush on completion. Each table is inspired by a Greek Muse of Myth.

nowallareone – Also a quiet child lately, but it is an RP comm set inside a closed Nexus of sorts for any characters from the Transformers...any version...or inspired by them. Yes, OCs allowed.

stayintheroom, a prompt community aimed at original works. Prompts are posted twice a week, the first a general prompt and the second meant to inspire character development.

literaryquotes, just what it says on the tin. Post your favorite book quote, something funny/inspiring/etc you just read, anything.

piffle_princess is a fanworks community for fans of any series by the manga-ka group CLAMP.

Fanfics, fanart, doujins, icons, prompts, recs and anything else fan-related is allowed so I hope that people will take an interest and join.
