The idea behind

nailfiles is something similar to a fannish storyfinders comm, but for people who enjoy nail polish, nail art, etc.

Looking for that perfect pastel yellow creme? Ask the comm. Want to get opinions on the best top coat for the money? Ask the comm. Looking for a cheaper dupe for that super-expensive Chanel polish? And so on.

nailfiles is a by the people, for the people comm...which means that it needs people to work! Membership and posting are open.

I'm taking advantage of the posting amnesty and the surge in the DreamWidth population to promote two communities that are near and dear to my heart.

First there is

ponyville_trot, a community I created last summer to fullfill my burning desire to have a My Little Pony Friendship is Magic community here on Dreamwidth. Although I have been making most of the posts since its inception, it is a community, not my private journal, open to all fans of MLP:FIM, be they bronies pure and simple, or fans of all generations of My Little Ponies. It has grown to become the largest My Little Pony community on DreamWidth. All members are encouraged and welcome to contribute posts, but I do my best to have something new to post every day and I have worked on the tags so you won't have to hunt through all 183 journal entries to find the few similar ones you would like to consult together. 8^)

My other ray of sunshine is my ZeFrank's Scribbler community,

the_scribbler. I'm actually surprised we have three members! I created this community two years ago and I've posted two dozen times so far, but I've let my productivity lapse in the art department. I would love to see other people post their Scribbler art!

Dreamwidth doesn't need a My Little Pony Friendship is Magic community to be awesome, but it does need one to be cool. So I did the radical thing and made one. Now Dreamwidth is cool. Deal with it.

nornoriel helped with her pony-colours journal styles of which I totally chose one without knowing it.

So I'm inviting every pony fan to come join

ponyville_trot. Old fans, Brony fans, animation fans, music fans, art fans, game fans, whatever. If it can be made, baked or written, some fan is working on it. I try to spot the good stuff, and maybe you have some things to share too. All I ask is that everypony gets along, love and tolerance and all that stuff.

Season two of the awesome series My Little Pony Friendship is Magic is almost upon us. Are you excited? I'm excited. I've never been so excited. Except that time when I saw how excited everyone was for MLP:FIM and everything that I could hardly think straight or eat...

So I made a community, right here on Dreamwidth, for Friendship is Magic. Because there wasn't one and I wanted one. And I had 100 days of prompts just waiting to fly. Like 21 days for DreamWidth? This is 100 Days for My Little Pony. We're already 51 days in and all we need is you to come join us at

ponyville_trot to share your views, news, things to amuse, stuff-you-drew's and what-have-you's.

In 51 days we've gone from population = 1 to population = 62. We've compiled 67 journal entries, we have 11 tags, 317 comments and the last post went up 2 hours ago (it's a link to a YouTube clip from episode 1 of season two, so it's a spooooilerrrr and I didn't peek -- my will is strong 8^D).

The best thing? Season two starts on Saturday! And there's a community for that, right here, right now.

Hey, folks! So, fandom-oriented folks are often a lot better at gathering and organizing places to hang out, and I know I've seen non-fandom folks feel left out sometimes. So, for 3W4DW I've decided to start up an idea I had a long time ago but didn't promote:

That way, other non-fandom people will see your public posts pop up on the member's posts page.
